We all need a smile now and then, eh? This smile is brought to you by the PBS show, Antique Roadshow.
A humble, sweetheart of a man named Ted brought in a rug to be appraised when the tv show came to the town he lived, Tucson.
The said rug hung on the back of a chair for generations.
This is how it unfold….
(Oh, btw, the money shot is at the end but I really think you should watch the whole thing. What’s 3-ish minutes out of your life?)
The Afterword. Ted sold the blanket for an undisclosed amount.
Said Ted:
“We said, ‘We can’t keep this. This is too valuable. What would the kids do with it? Would they fight over it?’ So we decided we would have to sell it.”
It is now in a museum on display.
A win, win. Such a lovely ending for a lovely man. I just never tire of this clip. Hope you don’t either.
