If you know me at all, you know that I am a cat person. But this video could come close to making me switch teams…

Click play and you’ll see what I mean (go ahead, I’ll wait). It’s a dog saving his owner from drowning.  Now that’s some heroic Lassie action there.

Wait! It gets better!

The owner was not, in fact, drowning. He had just jumped, casually, in the water but his ever obedient dog, frantically and with all kinds of gusto, jumped in after him in an apparent effort to save him.

You gotta love an animal like this. I would. Insert warm and fuzzy feelings here.

Because my cat would respond to my “drowning” exactly, and precisely, like so:

It’s alright. She doesn’t like to get wet.
And she is very busy sleeping.  All the time.

Her schedule:

Eat.

Sleep.

Repeat.

It’s fine, we are cool. I get her.

I don’t like to get wet either.   And nothing makes me happier than an 18 hour nap. I’ll take an animal I understand over one who, well, would save my life or whatever.  We are fiiiine.

Anyway, I need to go feed her. I think she just woke up…again.
